Designer Setup
HOLOPHONIX Designer is a free tool that simulates a Processor or Native setup, so you can prepare, view, and share sessions without any audio hardware. It does not process audio.
Installation
Download the installer from our website.
Designer and HOLOPHONIX Native cannot run at the same time. Close Native before launching Designer.
Choose a platform
The first time you launch Designer, the Specify I/O window asks which platform to simulate. This choice cannot be skipped: select a Platform, then click Start.
| Platform | Inputs | Outputs |
|---|---|---|
| Processor 128/32 | 128 | 32 |
| Processor 128/64 | 128 | 64 |
| Processor 128/128 (default) | 128 | 128 |
| Native 32/16 | 32 | 16 |
| Native 64/16 | 64 | 16 |
| Native 128/16 | 128 | 16 |
| Other I/O | 16 to 512 | 16 to 512 |
Selecting Other I/O displays Inputs and Outputs fields, where any number of channels between 16 and 512 can be set.
Only the number of inputs and outputs is applied to the session. The Processor and Native names are shortcuts to familiar configurations — a session prepared on Processor 128/128 is not tied to a specific Processor in any way.
Change the platform
The platform can be changed at any time, but only while no project is loaded — the Change Platform button is displayed in the Project Manager window.
- Go to the File menu and select Close Project. If the current preset has unsaved changes, you are asked to save it first.
- Click Change Platform, at the top of the window.
- Select the new platform, then click Start.
Changing the platform restarts the audio engine.
Once the platform is set, follow the Project Setup section and the Preset Setup section.
